Thank you for choosing Blizzard HVAC and Electrical. Your privacy is important to us, and we are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website or use our services.

This policy explains our privacy practices. Optional website cookies are controlled separately through your cookie choices.

1. Information We Collect:

We may collect the following types of information:

Personal Information: This includes but is not limited to your name, address, phone number, email address, and other information that identifies you personally.

Technical Information: We may receive browser details, IP addresses and information about use of our website. Some of this information can identify a browser or device. Optional analytics and advertising technologies are controlled through your cookie choices.

2. How We Use Your Information:

We use your information for the following purposes:

Service Provision: To provide you with the products and services you have requested.

Communication: To respond to your inquiries, send updates about our services, and provide relevant information.

Marketing: To send you promotional materials and offers that may be of interest to you. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time.

Analytics: To analyze website usage and improve our services, we may use cookies and similar technologies.

3. Information Sharing:

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties without your consent, except for the purpose of delivering our services. We may share information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our website and conducting our business.

Optional advertising measurement (Google and Meta): When you allow Advertisement cookies, Google Ads and the Meta pixel can help us measure advertising and show relevant ads. The Meta pixel sends page views and an event when our website accepts an enquiry, together with the selected service category and enquiry type. Meta also receives technical information such as the page address, referring page, IP address, browser details and advertising identifiers. We do not include your name, email address, telephone number, suburb or enquiry message in our Meta event fields. Automatic advanced matching and server-side Meta sharing are not enabled.

Meta may associate this activity with a Facebook or Instagram account and use it for advertising and measurement in accordance with Meta’s Privacy Policy. The first-party Meta cookies _fbp and _fbc have a vendor-documented lifespan of 90 days; browser settings may shorten this. For details, see Meta’s Cookies Policy. Meta and Google may process information outside New Zealand.

You can reject optional cookies or change or withdraw your choices using Cookie settings. Withdrawing Advertisement consent stops further Meta events from this website and removes its first-party Meta identifiers from your browser. It does not erase information already received by Meta. Your enquiry form works whether optional cookies are accepted or rejected.

Google customer reviews: Our website retrieves public Google review names, ratings, dates and review text through Blizzard’s Google connection. A limited, encrypted copy is refreshed regularly and retained for no more than 48 hours before expiry. The review section loads this copy from our website after you enable External content; it does not load Google or Trustindex scripts, reviewer photos or tracking cookies. You can withdraw this choice using Cookie settings. Following a link to read reviews on Google opens Google’s website, where Google’s Privacy Policy applies.

4. Security:

We implement security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Your Choices:

You have the right to:

• Review and update your personal information.
• Opt out of receiving marketing communications.
• Request the deletion of your personal information, subject to legal requirements.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy:

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.
